For the
interior of the new London branch of SUSHISAMBA, a high-end
Japanese/Peruvian restaurant brand from the US, Cetra/Ruddy
Architects asked us to develop bathware for the bathrooms. With
spectacular city views from the UK's highest outdoor terrace, the
restaurant is located on the 38th and 39th floors of Heron Tower on
Bishopsgate.
We crafted the taps by hand from copper pipework
enabling them to all be different. The taps end in a spout like a
teapot allowing good water flow and the valves are made from solid
brass. The taps are complemented with matching copper washbasins.
Each with their own personality, the taps come alive in the bathroom
while the copper will age gracefully over time.
